Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc to host showcase of net zero technology
Over 40 companies will showcase at Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc’s (MSIP) Demonstrator and Showcase Event later this week, sharing some of the world-leading technology that will enable the achievement of net zero.
MSIP, a joint venture between Michelin, Dundee City Council and Scottish Enterprise, is a world-class Innovation Parc in Dundee for sustainable mobility and decarbonisation, which aims to drive growth and diversity in the Scottish economy whilst addressing the global climate emergency.
MSIP’s will transform one of its largest industrial spaces (10,000 m²) into a showcase of the sustainable mobility and decarbonisation industry from across Scotland, the UK and the rest of the world.
The event programme is now finalised with 30 speakers, nine workshops, over 40 demonstrators and exhibitors, an indoor and outdoor test track, and an anticipated audience of 400 each day.
Greig Coull, CEO of Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc, said: “The 1-12 November this year is a moment in time when the world’s attention is firmly on Scotland. With COP26 taking place in Glasgow, just 80 miles from our Innovation Parc, we have the opportunity to raise awareness of the incredible expertise and skills with which we are connected, that will be crucial in tackling climate change.
“We want to shine a light on the role that we, MSIP, are playing in this journey. Our vision is to be a global reference for sustainable mobility and decarbonisation, contributing towards a net zero future. Our Demonstrator and Showcase event will act as a prism through which we will project that ambition.
“I am delighted that so many have chosen to join us in this adventure. We will show the world what we are doing right now and share the exciting future we can make by tackling climate change together.”
