Michelle Gardiner named Scottish framework manager at Morris & Spottiswood
Morris & Spottiswood has appointed Michelle Gardiner as a framework manager to support the growth of its public sector frameworks in Scotland.
The construction firm said the key appointment will provide client-focussed delivery as a consistent point of contact for framework projects throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-construction to completion and also ensuring post-completion aftercare service.
Michelle has more than 25 years of experience in the construction sector and brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role, including large-scale refurbishment and fitout projects for public sector organisations.
Michelle’s role will support Morris & Spottiswood’s existing Scottish frameworks whilst also working with the public sector team to build on expertise in Scotland and across the UK as it continues to grow across education, healthcare, local and central government, and other public sector services. She will ensure strong client engagement and successful project delivery, and adherence to frameworks’ key drivers and target outcomes.
Across Scotland, Morris & Spottiswood works with the NHS National Shared Services Scottish Minor Building Works Framework, the University of Glasgow, Crown Commercial Services, Pagabo, and the City of Edinburgh Council.
In England, Morris & Spottiswood has worked with YORbuild, Crown Commercial Services, Department for Work & Pensions and Government Property Agency, Procure Partnerships, Pagabo, and NHS Shared Business Services.
Matthew Wall, public sector director at Morris & Spottiswood, said: “We’re delighted to bring Michelle on to our team in Scotland as our public sector projects become an increasingly prominent portion of our business. We have ambitions to continue to grow this work and having a dedicated framework manager in Scotland will ensure the highest level of client service and engagement as we provide a true end-to-end delivery. This includes our D&B turnkey solution, architectural services, M&E engineering, and net zero carbon reduction support through our sustainability strategy.”
Michelle added: “I’m excited to be joining Morris & Spottiswood at a time of significant growth and to be working closely with the team to develop our presence in the Scottish public sector. There is huge opportunity for evolution and development and I’m looking forward to seeing this take shape. I’ve been really impressed by the long tenure of my colleagues within the business and their talent and motivation – I’m proud to be working with them as we continue to build on their recent achievements.”
