This is the association’s first development with Miller Homes and Cunninghame Housing Association said it was delighted with the quality of this new accommodation. Thehouses for rent sit within a larger Miller Homes estate with the remaining properties on the development being for private sale.

Works were completed in July 2023 and the project offers a range of well-designed homes, including cottage flats, general needs houses and bungalows designed to meet those with wheelchair needs.

The homes have been allocated from the East Ayrshire Common Housing register and have been well received by new tenants.

Linda Anderson, acting CEO, expressed her enthusiasm for the new houses: “The quality and finish of these new properties is of an excellent standard. Our experience of being able to build in partnership with Miller Homes, in an area as charming as Kilmaurs, has allowed us to provide new homes for rent in a highly desirable location.”

The delivery of these new homes for rent was supported by the Scottish Government and East Ayrshire Council with a total of £2.34 million in government grant awarded to the project.
