Spirit Aerosystems (Europe) Ltd has chosen the contractor to construct its new specialist paint facility at Prestwick, in a contract worth £4.1m in total. The project involves the construction of a new paint finishing centre which will form an extension to Building 90 and replace two of the existing paint facilities currently operating on the campus.

Across in Kilmarnock, Morrison has been contracted to build a new 15,000ft² retail extension at the existing Queens Drive retail park to house Smyth Toys, for Aegon UK Property, valued at £1.4m. This project started on site on 11 May for 20 weeks.
