Muir Group donates £1500 to Simpsons Special Care Babies

Muir Group has donated £1500 to Simpson Special Care Babies to support the staff of the Simpson Neonatal Unit in Edinburgh to provide expert care to babies born prematurely or sick.

The money was raised from the prestigious annual Deer Park Masters Pro-Am event at Deer Park Golf & Country Club.

Deer Park Masters 2024 The sun shone on the 400 golfers taking part in the event which is spread out over two days and sees amateur golfers play with a professional in a team of four.



Muir Group donates £1500 to Simpsons Special Care Babies

Martin Smith, chief executive of Muir Group, presented the cheque to Emma Coffey from Simpson Special Care Babies.

He said: “This was another hugely successful event with hundreds of golfers taking part. It was made all the more memorable because we were able to donate £1500 to the team at Simpson Special Care Babies as part of the event. They do incredible work in supporting families through very difficult circumstances and are a very worthy cause.”

Thomas Higson receives the winner's trophy

Winner of the Deer Park Masters Thomas Higson was awarded the trophy by executive chairman of the Muir Group, John Muir, for winning the Deer Park Masters with a score of -9.



Next year’s event will take place on the 5th and 6th August 2025.
