Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa, owned by Crerar Hotels, will undergo major redevelopment with the aim of re-opening to the public in April 2021.

Over £3 million will be invested to bring a brand-new four-star hotel to the island with 72 luxury bedrooms and bathrooms. The renovation will also result in the creation of 20 new full-time jobs at the hotel.

A collection of generously proportioned, individually designed sea view suites will be added to the hotel’s portfolio, complimenting the venue’s extensive spa offering and 17-metre swimming pool.

The hotel’s public areas will also be fully refurbished with a new restaurant and two bars being added to the venue’s offering. A new external balcony adjacent to the restaurant will treat guests to panoramic views across Craignure Bay.

The grounds surrounding the hotel are also due for redevelopment, with a full remodelling and landscaping planned throughout the gardens right down to Craignure Bay. The hotel will also be adding a range of outdoor facilities including an ‘enchanted fairy walk’, sea deck dining, boat moorings and external spa treatment rooms.

This multi-million-pound redevelopment brings Crerar Hotels’ total investment into its Hotels to over £11m. The project on Mull follows extensive renovation at Oban Bay Hotel, Oban, which was recently awarded 4-stars by the AA and an AA Rosette.

The news has been welcomed and supported by Highlands and Islands Enterprise, allowing the hotel’s renovation plans to kick-off ahead of schedule.
