New affordable housing development opens in Lochgilphead
On November 1, 2024, Provost Douglas Philand officially opened Cnoc Mor Place, a new affordable housing development in Lochgilphead, Argyll & Bute, delivered by Fyne Homes Ltd.
Built by MacLeod Construction Ltd, this new development brings high quality, sustainable housing to the community, offering much-needed affordable accommodation for local families.
The development includes six spacious, 3-bedroom semi-detached houses, designed to meet the demands of modern living while offering comfort and energy efficiency. The project, completed in October 2024, was made possible through funding from Fyne Homes, the Scottish Government, and Argyll & Bute Council, with a total investment of £1.38 million.
This development highlights the impact of strong partnerships in addressing housing needs and supporting community growth.
Kenny MacLeod, managing director of MacLeod Construction Ltd, said: “Macleod Construction Ltd were delighted to construct these houses for Fyne Homes Ltd. These units will provide much needed family homes for the Argyll area during a nationwide Housing Crisis. We would like to extend our thanks to Fyne Homes Ltd, MacDonald Cameron, Morham & Brotchie, and the entire design team for helping to deliver this project. These homes will be warm, spacious, efficient to run and are in a great location. We wish the residents all the very best in their new homes.”
Iona MacPhail, CEO of Fyne Homes, added: “We’re very proud to once more be delivering top quality family homes for our tenants. Thanks to all the partners who were involved in building these houses. We welcome our new tenants to Fyne Homes and hope they enjoy their homes for many years to come.”
