New care home proposed on unused agricultural land in Dundee outskirts

A new care home has been proposed for unused agricultural land near Dobbies garden centre on the outskirts of Dundee.

The plans, submitted to Dundee City Council, suggest the home would allow elderly residents to “maintain a presence in their community” with easy access to nearby shops and leisure facilities.

A supporting statement lodged by IJM Planning, on behalf of applicants Paul and Marion Heyder, said final designs are still pending, The Courier reports.

The proposed development also includes a private garden and car parking. A decision is expected in the coming weeks.
