Ground Developments Ltd has announced plans to upscale its piling division and has appointed large-scale earthworks and piling industry expert Stuart Cain to lead the new larger division.

This strategic change at GDL signals further investment and growth for the UK ground improvement specialist, and the expansion of the piling division follows a solid start to 2016 with the company’s announcement of both new premises and a £1 million investment in plant earlier this year.

GDL’s new operations director Stuart Cain has worked on a number of large-scale earthworks projects across Canada, Ireland and the UK - predominately in London and the south-east - including The Medway Tunnel in Kent, the Kensington High Street tower blocks and the Tower Bridge apartments.

His significant experience in both CFA and Rotary Bore Piling will allow him to work alongside GDL’s existing business infrastructure to provide an integrated service to clients and undertake larger enabling works contracts across the UK.
