The developer behind the £500 million landmark mixed-use Quartermile development has promoted Graham Rennie to the role of project management director.

Graham has almost 20 years’ experience in the construction sector, including nine years as senior project manager at Quartermile Ventures. Graham previously held roles at an international construction consultancy.

In his new role Graham is responsible for the project management, commercial and construction teams at the development. This includes actively seeking new development opportunities for the team.

Graham said: “Quartermile is a very rewarding project to work on, and it has been a privilege to see the development’s success grow year on year. I am excited to be able to lead the construction team through the next phase of development and aim to maintain the extremely high standards already set. This development presents a unique set of challenges, combining not only residential, retail and office space but also new build and conversion properties.”

Once complete, the development will comprise over 370,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation, in excess of 65,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, over 1050 apartments and seven acres of open landscaping.

Graham’s skilled management has allowed us to deliver on the various elements which Quartermile presents and will allow us to look at new opportunities going forward”

Graham’s promotion follows the appointment of Jan Welsh as sales and marketing director and the promotion of Katy Lavery to the role of marketing manager.

Quartermile also recently secured an £80m funding deal to enable it to speculatively develop its remaining two office buildings - Quartermile 3 and Quartermile 4. Construction of the 128,000 sq ft Quartermile 4 Grade A office building commenced in July 2014 and is due to complete in early 2016.
