Next store approved for Dundee retail park

Plans for retail giant Next to open a new store in Dundee’s The Stack Retail Park have been approved by the council.
A building warrant application submitted in August last year has now been approved by Dundee City Council.
The proposed £2.2 million renovation will take place at the former Home Bargains location in the retail park.
The unit, located next to Aldi, has been vacant since Home Bargains relocated to a larger site - formerly the Odeon cinema - in December 2023.
This first phase of work includes reconfiguring the shop floor and installing new staff facilities. The plans also suggest the addition of a café, which appears to be a Costa Coffee based on the signage.
No opening date has been announced, the Courier reports.
