Nominations sought for Edinburgh Apprenticeship Awards
The Edinburgh Evening News is inviting nominations for its Edinburgh Apprenticeship Awards in partnership with Openreach.
The capital’s new workforce will be celebrated at an inaugural virtual event, as part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2021.
Among the 12 award categories is Engineering/Manufacturing & Construction Apprentice.
Open to apprentices working within the Engineering, Manufacturing or Construction sector, the entry should be completed by either the apprentice or their employer. Apprentices will be enrolled on an apprenticeship scheme as of March 2019.
- Judges will be looking for the contribution that the individual has made throughout their apprenticeship showing their commitment and attitude to the role.
- Entries should show evidence of outstanding achievement through the quality of work carried out, such as quotes from clients and staff, statistics and performance reviews.
- Judges would also like to hear about the qualifications that the apprentice is working towards achieving or achieved to date.

- SME Apprentice Employer of the Year
- Large Business Apprentice Employer
- Diversity and Inclusion programme
- Training Provider/Programme of the Year
- Rising Star
- Mentor of the Year
- Foundation Apprentice of the Year
- Modern Apprentice of the Year
- Graduate Apprentice of the Year
- Business & Law Apprentice of the Year
- Health & Public Service Apprentice of the Year
