Paisley-based CGC brings Christmas re-decoration to nursery children
Paisley construction firm CGC has delivered the perfect Christmas decoration to a group of nursery children.
CGC sent a team of its painters and decorators into a nursery at Ferguslie Park to give it a fresh, new look.
It was the ideal Christmas gift for the staff and youngsters aged between 0 and 5 at Ferguslie Early Learning and Childcare Centre in Blackstoun Road.
CGC volunteered its services free of charge and completed the job in a couple of days.
The copmany said it was “delighted” to help and ensure one of the playrooms was given a makeover.
Managing director Leo Reilly said: “As a business we are very proud of our Renfrewshire roots. We heard that one of the playrooms at the nursery could use our painting and decorating expertise and we jumped at the chance to help.
“Renfrewshire Council’s nurseries do the most amazing job in nurturing the very young and we applaud the work the staff do. CGC is delighted to have been able to help.”
Contracts manager Andy Watson and decoration manager Stevie Scollan arranged the work while CGC painting and decoration staff - including apprentices – undertook the task.
Andy said: “We feel very privileged to have been able to help. It is a Christmas decoration with a difference.”
Audrey Copland, head of centre at the nursery, said: “We are very grateful to CGC for their generous offer to paint one of our playrooms. The difference is amazing and it provides our children with a bright, new learning environment.”
