Paisley fit-out firm steps up growth plans with multi-million pound hotel redevelopments

Specialist fit-out contractor Dimension has underlined its ambitions with the successful completion of a string of major hotel projects.

The Paisley-based firm has recently delivered a number of redevelopments at properties across the south of the UK.

These included the complete overhaul of the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park and a restaurant refurbishment at the Marriot at Heathrow Airport, where Dimension’s teams are also set to begin work transforming the lobby area.

The extensive work at London Marriott Hotel Regents Park – which was carried out in four phases over 18 months – saw Dimension’s specialist fitters strip out and refurbish the lobby, executive lounge, restaurant, meetings and events spaces, plus all 311 bedrooms.

At Heathrow Airport the firm completed the latest in a long line of projects for Carluccio’s restaurants. The 14 week job included the strip out of the previous restaurant and conversion of the existing hotel bar.

Dimension is also about to undertake a refurbishment of the lobby area at Heathrow and commence a major refurbishment of the Marriott Bristol Royal Hotel, which will include both public areas and bedrooms.

All projects have been delivered in close partnership with the hotel’s own project and design teams.

Martin McColl, managing director of Dimension, said: “The refurbishment of the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park has produced stunning results and we are very proud to have played such a key part in delivering this fantastic project for the client.

“Working with Hamilton Hotel Partners (Asset Managers) and TowerEight Project and Cost Managers, across each project, our expert fitter and management teams – who are specialists in the hospitality sector – put a great deal of thought and careful planning into the projects, delivering on time and on budget whilst remaining agile enough to adapt to changing scenarios.

“This approach was supported by our expert teams of craftsmen whose unique skillset blends traditional and modern methods to produce an end result which speaks for itself.”

Marriott hotels often feature subtle references to their location and the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park draws inspiration from the nearby parks and zoo, whilst remaining both purposeful and functional for guests.

Martin added: “The London Marriott Hotel Regents Park is the largest project we have ever undertaken but we have ambitions for further growth and have invested heavily in our manufacturing facilities and expertise as we work towards our target of becoming a £30 million plus group. All of our recent hotel refurbishments are indicative of the type of projects which we aim to increasingly deliver.”
