Persimmon makes two new appointments to North Scotland land team
Euan McLaughlin and Darren MacKay have bolstered the land team at the regional arm of Persimmon Homes.
Persimmon North Scotland has appointed Euan McLaughlin as planning manager and Darren MacKay as land manager. The pair will be working on strengthening the land bank at the home builder’s headquarters in Perth.
Euan McLaughlin has rejoined Persimmon following a stint as a self-employed planning reporter for the Scottish Government Planning & Environmental Appeals Division and will be leading the company’s planning applications across the region. Darren MacKay, who has worked in the commercial arm of the business for a number of years will now be ensuring that the company has a number of new outlets to provide a steady stream of much needed new homes.
In addition, the business has made a number of other appointments to support the planned expansion across the region. This includes the appointment of Lewis Birrell, a Trainee Architectural Technician, who will work alongside the land team to prepare detailed plans for new sites.
Following the latest additions to Persimmon North Scotland’s land department, the team is now at full strength and is setting its sights on maximising land opportunities for the business throughout North Scotland.
Robert Patrick, Persimmon North Scotland land director, said: “I am delighted to welcome Darren and Euan to our land and planning team. Their wealth of experience and industry insight will be a big asset as we look to expand our activity.
“With our land team stronger than ever, we are actively looking to bolster our land portfolio and maximise the opportunities available across North Scotland.”
Commenting on his appointment, Euan McLaughlin added: “I’m excited to be returning to Persimmon North Scotland and looking forward to working with the experienced team as we seek new opportunities to invest across the region and create successful and sustainable new communities.”
