Persimmon raises more than £53,000 at first-ever charity ball
Persimmon Homes North Scotland raised over £53,000 at a glamorous charity ball for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland.
The spotlight shone on CHAS during a dazzling evening of generosity, as Persimmon Homes North Scotland hosted their first-ever charity ball.
Held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow, the black-tie event brought together hundreds of guests, raising over £53,000 to support the vital work of CHAS.
The star-studded night was hosted by Britain’s Got Talent sensation Edward Reid, who kept the energy high, while BLEEKER delivered a show-stopping performance that kept the crowd of Persimmon staff, contractors, stakeholders and CHAS volunteers entertained.
The evening featured a range of fundraising activities, including silent auctions with prizes ranging from indulgent overnight stays to state-of-the-art tools. There was also an intense bidding war for two highly sought-after items – signed football tops from rivals Rangers and Celtic.
Staff at Persimmon North Scotland’s head office in Perth chose CHAS as their charity of the year for the second year running and have set their sights on beating last year’s total of £38,000. All the money raised will go towards supporting the work the charity does at Rachel House in Kinross and right across the country.
James Mackay, managing director of Persimmon North Scotland, said: “We’re very grateful to all our guests for making our first-ever charity ball an overwhelming success. The generosity shown on the evening will make a big difference in supporting the crucial work CHAS does to support families during their toughest moments.”
Rami Okasha, CHAS CEO, said: “We are extremely grateful to Persimmon for hosting this charity ball to help raise vital funds to help us to continue our work supporting children with life-shortening conditions and their families across Scotland. Demand for CHAS’s services is going up and we are determined to provide unwavering care to families from diagnosis to bereavement.”
