Perth surveyor wins at RICS Matrics Awards
Perth surveyor Louisa Robertson has been crowned Valuation Surveyor of the Year at the RICS Matrics Surveyor Awards, which honours the achievements of up-and-coming surveyors across the UK.
Louisa is a chartered rural surveyor and joined Savills’ rural professional team in 2018, specialising in rural property valuation and professional work for loan security and capital taxation.
Louisa graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in agriculture with farm business management, before studying for a master’s degree in land economy at the University of Aberdeen.
Louisa was responsible for developing, launching and implementing a national valuation comparables database, which provides a central location for all internal and external sales data and a consistent approach to data analysis.
As well as this, she played a key role in the trialling and rollout of a valuation workflow system on a national scale, which streamlines a valuation instruction from start to finish, meaning that the conflict check, instruction letter and reporting can all be done through one system.
In 2019, Louisa became a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
At this year’s ceremony, six of the eleven category winners were women in a year when female professionals represented just over a third of those shortlisted, despite making up just 18% of UK surveyors.
