Alan beat stiff competition to take home the prestigious title in the Medium Housebuilder Category for his work on our direct delivery site, Black Isle View in Inverness. He was also awarded the Seal of Excellence.

Organised by the National House Building Council (NHBC) the awards show is now in its 44th year. Judges assess people across six key areas: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise, and health and safety.

Speaking on his award, Alan said: “It’s a special feeling to be recognised as one of the best site managers in Scotland. The NHBC Awards are the pinnacle of a site manager’s career.

“The team and I in Inverness are delighted that all of our hard work and dedication has been rewarded. I look forward to representing Scotland in the next stage of the competition at the Supreme Awards in London.” 

Colin Jack, Places for People interim regional managing director, Scotland, said: “We are delighted for Alan to achieve the recognition from the NHBC for the work he and his team have done at Black Isle View.

“While house building is a team effort, we believe the greatest influence on the quality of a finished home is the calibre of the site manager and the way they inspire their team. Congratulations to all the winners.”

Alan is now shortlisted for the National Final which will take place in January 2025 where he will be up against other regional winners for the Pride in the Job Supreme Awards.
