The application to begin work on the new primary school was approved by the National Park Planning Authority last month with work due to begin in the New Year.
Designed by Ryder Architecture, the new Callander Primary School will sit adjacent to Callander Nursery, McLaren High School and McLaren Leisure Centre, creating a new Callander Community Campus.
Last year, Stirling Council approved £23 million of funding to deliver a new state-of-the-art primary school as part of its capital investment programme.
Children and Young People convener, Cllr Danny Gibson, said: “Residents in Callander will be eager to see spades in the ground and work commencing on the community’s brand new primary school. The decision of the National Park Planning Authority brings this a step closer.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who took part in the public consultations as part of the process – your input will help ensure we deliver a modern, high-quality school which will meet the needs of families in the area.”
