Planning permission granted for £17m Paisley housing development

Street Scene 1AS Homes (Scotland) Ltd has been granted planning consent for a new £17 million development of 132 homes for social rent and sale in Paisley.

Plans and information about the homes at Love Street, which are built for Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association, were submitted to Renfrewshire Council in December 2016.

The 132 units will be two and three bedroom, two storey terraced and semi-detached houses. The homes will be built using timber frame construction, which brings many benefits including quicker build times and energy efficiencies.

Paul Kelly, managing director of AS Homes (Scotland) Ltd, said: “We’re delighted to be working together with Sanctuary on this large housing development. This is great news for Paisley as it will deliver a major economic boost, creating jobs and much-needed new social housing for the area. We plan to start work on site in the summer, with completion due in the summer 2019.”
