Plans for £14m school campus in Livingston given green light
West Lothian Council has approved plans to move Beatlie School in Livingston to a new £14 million purpose-built campus in the Craigshill area.
The site, a portion of council-owned land off Grange Road, east of the Xcite Craigswood Leisure Centre was earmarked for the development last summer.
The new purpose-built facility will be a centre of excellence for children and young people, providing cutting-edge educational facilities alongside partner health and wrap around support for children and families.
The council’s education executive has approved the plans, with the cost to be met from the general services capital programme, boosted by Scottish Government and NHS funding.
It is hoped that the new campus could be opened by August 2023.
