Plans lodged for new multi-let industrial development in Livingston
Northern Trust has submitted plans for the development of an additional c 30,000 sq ft multi-let industrial scheme adjacent to its existing Eliburn Industrial Estate in Livingston.
The 13 new units will be arranged in a single terrace of trade counter units and two terraces of industrial / workshop units. Unit sizes range from 1,108 sq ft up to 3,339 sq ft with each benefiting from integral office space, dedicated parking to the front of each unit and generous circulation space.
If the plans are approved, the new development would represent a £3 million investment.
Tom Parkinson, director at Northern Trust, said: “We have been expanding our multi-let industrial portfolio in Scotland, and this new development will complement our existing ownership at Eliburn which we acquired a couple of years ago. The development forms part of our on-going strategy to acquire/develop multi-let industrial assets to support the SME business community across Scotland’s Central Belt.”
Northern Trust’s portfolio in Scotland currently extends to over 440,000 sq ft with the development of the first phase at Turnhouse Court in Newbridge set to add an additional 28,000 sq ft. The portfolio extends from Dumfries, northwards to Wishaw, Cumbernauld and Perth, and eastwards to Grangemouth, Livingston and the west of Edinburgh and forms part of Northern Trust’s circa 8 million sq ft portfolio.
If planning is approved, work on site could commence next year.
