Developers also intend to include a roof extension in the plans for 106 Renfield Street.
Nine two-bedroom flats would be created in the vacant second and third floors and the new roof accommodation.
A design statement included with an application to Glasgow City Council reads: “Access is provided to the upper levels from Sauchiehall Lane which will receive improvements to become a welcoming entrance to the flats.
“The stair will then be extended vertically to a new roof extension with a simple form in keeping with the adjacent context.”
