Plans submitted for nearly 100 serviced apartments in Glasgow city centre
Plans have been submitted to the convert empty upper floors of 55 West Regent Street into 96 serviced apartments and studios.
The proposal for the B-listed building in Glasgow’s city centre includes substantial external fabric repairs and complete regeneration of interior space plus the creation of three additional storeys to the rear.
The homes will be one-bedroom, with a communal lounge on the seventh floor with panoramic views over the city centre, a gym and a terrace/balcony, ReGlasgow reports.
The apartments would be on the first floor upwards, which were last used as offices but are estimated to have been vacant for 25 years. Ground floor and basement levels are currently occupied by a nightclub, cafe/restaurant and takeaway food outlet.
