Plans unveiled for Cowcaddens build to rent scheme
Soller Group has again teamed up with Mosaic Architecture & Design to unveil early proposals for a 16-storey build to rent block in Glasgow.
A public consultation is currently underway into plans to deliver the block at the old DC Thomson site at 144 Port Dundas Road, opposite Cowcaddens fire station.
While the number of flats envisaged has not been stated, there would be studio, one and two-bedroom apartments plus commercial units.
The developer stated: “The location offers the opportunity for the new development to be a visible landmark within the city centre.
“The proposals have been carefully considered to provide a mix of apartment types centred around a communal courtyard which can meet the demands of the modern build-to-tent tenants.”
Online consultation is currently underway with a live Q&A with the development team scheduled for 15:00 on January 26.
Mosaic Architecture & Design has also submitted an application on behalf of Soller Group for planning in principle to erect the second phase of planned office development at Carrick Street.
