Premier Inn plans to expand Dundee waterfront hotel
Plans have been submitted to expand the Premier Inn hotel situated at Dundee’s waterfront by 109 new bedrooms.
Overseen by Lawrence McPherson Associates, the work will significantly extend the current 40 bed hotel with a new four storey extensions flanking the existing hotel to the east and west overlooking the River Tay.
The application from Whitbread also includes associated landscaping work, car parking alterations and reworked public areas.
The company said the new hotel will be given a “bespoke design” to tie-in with Dundee’s waterfront master plan.
Dundee City Council leader Ken Guild said: “The waterfront is shaping up great so far and it is no surprise that a company such as this one want to expand.”
