Presidential candidates announced by RIAS

The two candidates that will be standing for election to be the next RIAS President have now been announced.
The candidates are:
- Dr Richard Atkins FRIAS, RIBA, FRSA - Read Election Statement
- Chris Stewart RIAS, RIBA - Read Election Statement
The announcement follows a vetting process by the nominations committee and council members.
As well as their own campaigning, the RIAS intend to hold a virtual hustings which will give the candidates the chance to address members directly and answer their questions.
Online voting opens on June 1 and closes on June 24. Results will be announced on June 29. The new President will take office that day for an initial one-year term with the option to extend by one further year.
