Prestigious projects in Scotland shortlisted for RICS Awards

Twenty of Scotland’s most impressive recent building projects have been revealed as finalists in the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Awards, Scotland 2024.

The projects, which include a hotel, community hub and museum will be judged by an expert judging panel.

The RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational initiatives and developments in land, real estate, construction and infrastructure. They recognise outstanding achievement, teamwork and companies.



Amongst Scotland’s shortlisted entries are Allander Leisure & Adult Resource Centre in Glasgow, Riverside Primary School in Perth and The Thomas Graham Community Library in Strathblane. 

The entries are shortlisted across five categories – Residential Development, Community Benefit, Heritage, Public Sector, Refurbishment-Revitalisation.

Chair of the Scotland RICS Awards judging panel, Colin Smith, said: “It is inspiring to see such inspirational projects in Scotland shortlisted for these awards. Companies still have the opportunity to enter an additional six categories – to be judged nationally – and have until 26th April to submit their entry. Amongst the national categories is the new Ambassador of the Year Award category.

  • Waverley Square, Edinburgh (Residential Development)
  • Gala Fairydean Rovers Netherdale Stand, Galashiels (Heritage Project)
  • Gala Fairydean Rovers Netherdale Stand, Galashiels (Refurbishment/Revitalisation Project)
  • Gala Fairydean Rovers Netherdale Stand, Galashiels (Community Benefit Project)
  • Bridge Street Depot, Girvan (Public Sector Project)
