Principal contractor Procast Group has increased its presence across Scotland following the launch of a new base in Dumfries.

The Hamilton-based firm has expanded its reach to include the South of Scotland as it sets up a new £30,000 warehouse and office.

Located in the Maxwelltown Industrial Estate, the facility is run by project manager Scott Kane, alongside eight other contractors.

Strategically placed on the A75 Dumfries bypass, it allows Procast Group to work in the local area, the Borders and into England.

Procast Group currently has multiple contracts north and south of the border, working with the likes of Loreburn Housing Association with projects taking place in areas such as Annan, Castle Douglas and Stranraer.

The group, which currently employs more than 130 staff, also operates a base in Aberdeen, with plans for further expansion in Angus afoot.

Derek Innes, owner and managing director of Procast Group, said: “Having a base in the South of Scotland is imperative to business growth and we are delighted to now be set up in the community of Dumfries.

“We hope to advance projects in the area, working with local people with aims to expand further across the UK into England.

“Scott and the team are doing a magnificent job at the new base as we increase our reach to communities that need our support most.”
