South Lanarkshire-headquartered rail contractor QTS Group has expanded its operations with the opening of several new locations across England.

As part of this expansion, QTS Group will be significantly growing its workforce at the Leighton Buzzard location, which will offer both an office and a yard. This site will support emergency call-outs for the company’s recent contract wins in the North-West & Central region, as well as existing frameworks in the Eastern area.

Its strategic location will also enable QTS Group to better serve the Home Counties and London. This expansion presents an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to join a dynamic, fast-growing organisation.

There is also a new office opening in St Helen’s, which is a combination office, with both an office and a depot facility, which will also help support the CAM, Renewals, Fencing and Vegetation Management works in the North-West and Central region.

QTS Group’s new Manchester office is now open in a prime location on King Street, which provides a central hub for engaging with clients and managing projects across the North-West.

In response to increased demand, QTS Group is expanding its facilities in the Penrith area by adding a new yard to its existing office and operational space in Shap. This expansion will enhance the company’s capacity in Cumbria and surrounding areas.

QTS Group has also opened a new industrial unit in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire, which includes an office. This facility will support the company’s operations in the Wales & Western region and provide essential resources for emergency earthworks in North-West and Central.

Andy Steel, managing director, said: “This expansion marks a significant step forward for QTS Group as we strengthen our operations across England and Wales. By establishing new offices and facilities, we are not only positioning ourselves to better serve our clients but also creating vital employment opportunities in key regions.

“We are actively recruiting engineers, commercial staff, and health & safety professionals to support both our existing contracts and future growth. This expansion allows us to increase our capacity, improve response times for emergency works, and maintain the high level of service our clients expect. It’s a great opportunity for us to invest in the skilled workforce that drives the rail sector forward, ensuring we can meet both current demand and future challenges.”

These expansions are part of QTS Group’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality services to our customers while ensuring we have the infrastructure to support both current and future demand. Each new location is set to play a vital role in enhancing our regional capabilities, supporting both emergency response services and planned works across the UK.
