Redpath awarded fourth NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde project
Redpath Construction has won a contract to replace two redundant operating theatres within the existing Institute of Neurological Sciences at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus in Glasgow.
The firm’s fourth NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde project will create a new Glasgow Centre for Thrombectomy interventional procedures.
The project is a high-profile addition to the QEUH service provision, enabling clinicians to treat blood clot patients more effectively. The project is arranged for commencement mid-March with an expected completion in November this year with service provision commencing in a phased approach thereafter with clinical team already in position.
The construction works include full existing services removal, significant construction alterations to walls and floors, new roof top plant, new mechanical and electrical services throughout, new flooring, finishes and all necessary deliverables in readiness for the NHS nominated medical equipment provider.
A spokesperson said: “Redpath are proud to be involved and look forward to another successful NHS project delivered defect free and to the high standards expected from the clinical team.”
