Revised plans approved for Tollcross flats and commercial units

Revised plans to deliver flats and commercial units in the East End of Glasgow have gained planning permission.

Cater Group will develop six flats above two retail units at 1042 Tollcross Road.
Designed by Neil Rothnie Architecture, the four-storey building will include a terrace for residents at first floor level at the rear of the building.
A similar proposal for the site, which specifically included a hot food takeaway outlet, was rejected last year.
A design document included with the application states: “This will bring use back to a derelict area of land which currently provides no economic aesthetic benefit to the local town centre.”
The hot food takeaway outlet is not included in the new proposals.
