The Dundee headquarters of collapsed building firm Muirfield Contracts is to become a regional management base for major projects undertaken by Robertson Group.

The offices, which have lain dormant since Muirfield went out of business in March, were not involved in the protracted winding up of the firm, who had debts of almost £7 million.

Derek Shewan, chief operating officer for Robertson Group, said: “We will be moving our Robertson Construction Tayside team to George Buckman Drive, cementing our position as Tayside’s largest construction business.

“We are looking forward to growing our team and building upon our experience in Tayside.

“We are extremely proud of our current developments in the area, including the delivery of the new Harris Academy, Baldragon Academy and Brechin Community Campus.”
