Ryden appoints partner to Glasgow planning team
Ryden has recruited Shahid Ali as a partner to support the growth of its Scottish planning team.
Earlier this year Marc Giles, a partner in Ryden’s Planning team for 10 years and with over 20 years of industry experience, moved from Edinburgh to head up the Glasgow planning department. The strategic appointment of Shahid further strengthens the Glasgow offer and together this new team will deliver the firm’s business plan objectives for the region.
Shahid is a Chartered Town Planner with 18 years’ experience in planning and development consultancy previously working as a director at JLL following planning officer roles at Glasgow City Council and Dumfries and Galloway Council.
He specialises in providing strategic advice for complex major planning applications and negotiations with regulatory authorities across development sectors.
