Savills has today confirmed that Estelle Forrester sadly lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday 29 April 2020.

Estelle joined Savills Glasgow office from CBRE as a director in the retail agency team in September 2009 having previously worked at DTZ. She built up a shopping centre leasing profile for Savills from scratch in Scotland, and worked closely with the London and regional retail teams across the business.

Estelle was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in October 2017, which became terminal.  She underwent countless treatments and took part in a clinical trial whilst maintaining her sense of style, excellent humour and positivity throughout.

Never one to stand still she continued to meet with clients, mentor colleagues, attend functions and in addition to all of this put extraordinary energy into fundraising over £20,000 for Cancer Research and even fulfilled a lifelong ambition to travel on the Orient Express.

Sean Gilles, director of retail at Savills, said: “Estelle will be sadly missed by colleagues and clients across both the Retail and Property industries. She was known for lighting up a room with her great energy and enthusiasm and her positivity during a time of great adversity is an inspiration to all.”

James Sparrow, chief executive officer, Savills UK and EMEA, said: “Estelle was an inspiration, she showed enormous positivity and energy in the most testing times, and her participation in clinical trials as well as fundraising efforts for charity were a clear reflection of this. She will be greatly missed.”

Nick Penny, Savills head of Scotland, added: “Estelle was an incredibly thorough and straight talking agent, valued hugely by clients. She always had, and maintained, a great sense of humour. Her laughter, energy and charisma will be missed enormously.  Our thoughts are with her family at this time.”

Estelle’s husband Johnny, their daughter Morgan and son Struan were at her side when she passed away.

Donations to Ayrshire Cancer Support’s Home for Cancer campaign will be made in memory of Estelle.
