Scotland’s national business golf tournament comes to a climax with final at home of golf

Sixteen of Scotland’s finest golfing companies will be heading to the home of golf on Wednesday for their chance to be crowned champions of Scotland’s national business golf tournament, Business Fours.

Current UK Ladies Golf Long Drive Champion, Ilona Stubley, will be on hand at to see if participants can hit the ball further, all in the aid of charity.

The Construction and Housing sector will be well represented with teams of golfers from the likes of Careys, Advance Construction, Stewart Milne Homes, Malcolm Hollis and Shepherd Surveyors competing at the Torrance Course at St Andrews Fairmont on Wednesday May 30 when the hooter blows at 10.30am.

They include the winners from qualifiers of the event which took place in Dalmahoy, Cardrona and Mar Hall who will be kitted out in their new Royal & Awesome Troos courtesy of the brand.

Also among them will be reigning champions Village Hotel Club - as well as reigning Business Fives five-a-side winter winners Graham Pest Control.

Every putt will count as the combined stable ford score of all four from each company will determine who the winner is.

Each team will be split up into different four balls to make new connections on the day - as they rely on their colleagues to put in a quality round.

Among the individual competitions on the day will be longest drive - with Scotland’s Ilona Stubley on hand to give the players some guidance.

As always the tournament has a big charity focus - with teams raising cash for their chosen good cause.

So far the charity pot stands at over £2,500 and the winning company will drive away not only with the title but a bumper donation.

The tournament has been supported by sponsors Kinetic Demolition and director James Warren will be on hand to hand over the winning trophy.

The charity raffle prizes includes a unique opportunity to play Gullane the day after the Scottish Open with Sunday pin positions and Grandstands still intact.
