Scottish acquisition drives growth for cladding specialist Vivalda
Non-combustible cladding specialist Vivalda Group has reported strong growth, driven in part by its acqusition of Cumbernauld-based MSP Scotland.
Vivalda reported a 7% rise in profits and 2.5% growth in revenue up to £34 million, Construction Enquirer reports. The firm invested £1.8 million in fixed assets during 2019/20 and now has total net assets of £13 million.
Group chairman Peter Johnson said the company is “on course for what could well be another record year in 2020”, with “the important indicators heading in the right direction – profit calculated under EBITDA is £3.49m, or 11% of sales”.
Highlighting the acquisition of MSP last summer, he added: “This highly respected, long-established company with its loyal workforce, gives us access to the growing market for solid A1 fire-rated aluminium panels. MSP is already making a positive contribution to group success.”
