Scottish Construction Summit launched

Scottish Construction Now is pleased to officially launch the Scottish Construction Summit today with the theme of ‘Transforming Construction’.

Details of speakers and topics are now available here on the Summit website and we will be revealing further top speakers in the weeks ahead.

The all-day event, on September 17, will be held at Strathclyde University’s Technology and Innovation Centre and will focus on the thorny issues facing the industry and examine how they can be successfully tackled.

Programme director Paul McDevitt said: “We have had a great response from potential speakers and key industry figures keen to attend the Summit. There is definitely a demand in Scotland for a forum where experiences can be shared and mutual problems addressed.”

SCN advertising manager Raymond Carr is handling sponsorship and exhibition opportunities.

He said: “I would echo Paul’s comments. I am handling a very encouraging level of enquiries for the event and we have already signed up our first exhibitors and sponsors.”

Kieran Findlay, SCN editor, added: “We will be releasing further details in the coming weeks but the Summit is off to a flying start already with nearly six months to go before the big day.

“It will be a great opportunity to listen, learn, network and share views and practical advice on how we can transform Scotland’s dynamic construction industry to meet the challenges of the 21st century.”

To inquire about sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, contact Raymond Carr on 07956242860 or raymond@scottishnews.com.
