Mr Murray brings to the firm and its clients 16 years’ experience advising on the procurement, construction and operation of energy and infrastructure projects across the UK.

Previously a director at Shepherd and Wedderburn, Mr Murray re-joined the firm on June 14. Clients have commended him in the Chambers and Partners independent legal directory as “technically excellent”, adding: “His knowledge, productivity and level of detail is impressive.”

Mr Murray, who is qualified in both Scotland and England and Wales, has advised a wide range of public and private sector clients on major construction and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.

He has particular expertise in the procurement, construction and operation of large-scale energy projects. His experience also covers sectors including housing, defence, waste, transport, health and education infrastructure projects and the outsourcing of services. In addition, he advises on structuring bespoke procurement solutions.

His appointment further bolsters Shepherd and Wedderburn’s expanding construction and infrastructure team, following the recent appointments of two other additional Partners and a consultant. The team is supporting clients on some of the largest infrastructure projects in Scotland, England and Wales.
