Yesterday’s increase in readership is the latest milestone for what is one of Scotland’s longest established - and most successful - digital news services.

In March, unique visitors to the website exceeded 100,000 for the first time with 108,374 users on the SHN site. Twitter followers have reached 13,666 and LinkedIn followers are increasing by around 200 a month giving a social media reach, including Facebook, of nearly 20,000 readers.

SHN editor Kieran Findlay said: “I’m delighted to be able to report on our continued growth.
