Reflecting the revamped programme for 2016, the independent judging panel, chaired by Kareen Davidson, former sales & marketing director at Bett Homes, will be undertaking site visits to all the shortlisted entries in the Private and Affordable Housing Development categories. In addition, those companies shortlisted for Private Development of the Year will also be considered for the prestigious Home Builder of the Year award through a rigorous interview process.

Winners will be announced at the Homes for Scotland Annual Lunch (sponsored by Burness Paull) at the EICC on Friday 20 May which will be hosted by actor and comedian Hugh Dennis. Now in its 14th year, the event continues to grow year-on-year, with a record number of over 1000 senior industry representatives and their guests already confirmed to attend.

Kareen Davidson said: “Working to a strict set of criteria, my fellow judges and I are determined to ensure that this year’s awards are the most robust and credible in our industry.

“We have therefore highlighted those companies who have demonstrated a stand-out approach to customer needs, design quality and the placemaking and sustainability agendas as well as those supporting organisations who have added value to the sector whilst showcasing an impressive competitive edge.”
