The Sibbald Training founder was awarded the honour in October 2020 for services to business and charity in West Lothian.

David was recognised due to his long-term commitment to business and charities, with a particular focus on his work with young people in the local community. His fundraising activities and the important role he plays in promoting entrepreneurial women in business, through his activities within the Chamber of Commerce and sponsorship of the ‘Women in Business’ award, has also been a massive contributor towards his award.

Adding his words of appreciation, David added: “I was gobsmacked and delighted when I was informed that I was to receive this award. In life it is in our DNA to help others and even now people have helped me, so to receive recognition like this is the icing on the cake.”
