Robertson Group, along with Kier Construction, McLaughlin & Harvey Construction, Morgan Sindall, Morrison Construction and Northstone (NI) have all been named on the three-year framework.

The main types of project that will be delivered through the framework are primary schools, care homes and council offices.

The framework will replace the existing main contractor framework which was originally tendered in 2013.​ Work will be delivered through design and build contracts and the framework could extend for an extra year.

In the council’s budget for the year ending February 2017, £160m investment into capital programmes and housing works was outlined. Around £100m was earmarked for capital programmes across the area and £60m was put towards housing.
