Springfield Properties hails Small Development of the Year win for Braemar site
A Springfield Properties development in Braemar has been named 2016’s Small Development of the Year at the Homes for Scotland awards.
With 25 three and four bedroom homes set in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, the Middleton of Canmore development impressed the judges on their visit to the site in April where they met with managing director Innes Smith, site manager Shaun Douglas and sales executive Gill Evans.
Located close to the Glenshee Ski Centre, the homes at Middleton of Canmore have a classic Scottish feel with slate roofs, traditional dormers and timber porches to the front in grey, green or natural larch.
Springfield’s planners and architects worked closely with Aberdeenshire Council and the Cairngorms National Park Authority to identify the perfect style and mix of homes to suit the conservation area and remain in keeping with Braemar tradition.
North sales manager of Springfield Properties, Joyce Napier, recognised the effort involved: “Braemar undoubtedly presented us with a positive challenge. Designing homes for a National Park and a gorgeous setting.
“For the rest of the house building industry to recognise the amount of work that has gone into Middleton of Canmore, and announce it as the small development of the year is fantastic. It reinforces that putting in the extra effort for our customers is the right way to go.”
The results were announced at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre Friday 20th May with actor and comedian Hugh Dennis presenting the awards.
