Springfield signs timber kit deal with Campion Homes
Springfield Timber Kit Systems, part of The Springfield Group, has agreed a deal with Fife-based developer Campion Homes for the supply of timber frames.
The £1 million contract will see the production and delivery of timber kits and floor cassettes for 100 homes at Campion’s newest development: Strathmore Meadows in Meigle. Ranging from two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, each kit will be built using sustainably sourced timber.
With decades of experience in timber kit construction, Springfield Timber Kit Systems has perfected the design and execution of its kits to ensure streamlined installation on site.
The firm supply frames for the well-established home building brands within the wider Springfield Group – Springfield Properties, Springfield Partnerships, Dawn Homes, Walker Group, Tulloch Homes and Mactaggart & Mickel Homes. With off-site timber kit factories in Bellshill and Elgin, it has the capacity to expand and are actively engaging with other developers in Scotland and North England.
Springfield Group commercial director, Ewan Macleod, said: “With kit factories in central and north Scotland, and a combined capacity to complete 2000 timber frames a year, we are ideally placed to expand our portfolio beyond the Springfield Group.
“We are already supplying Campion Homes with kits for their homes at Glenrothes and Crieff and are excited to extend our partnership with Campion with the supply of high quality, timber frames for their homes at Strathmore.”
Campion Homes joint managing director Susan Jackson said: “Extending our partnership with Springfield Timber Kit Systems underscores our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable homes that meet the evolving needs of our communities. With Springfield’s expertise and our shared dedication to excellence, we are confident that this project at Strathmore Meadows will set a new standard in residential construction.
“Our clients can continue to expect award-winning quality, innovative design, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on people’s lives and the environment.”
