Stewart Milne Homes adds to central Scotland sales team
Stewart Mine Homes said it has underlined its commitment to people development by making with internal promotions within its sales team in central Scotland.
Cautiously optimistic about the future, the housebuilder is experiencing strong levels of interest in new homes due to pent-up demand and consumers looking for a new way of living as a result of lockdown.
Tony Williamson has been promoted to sales and marketing director of Stewart Milne Homes Central Scotland and Caroline Yan Hip has moved up to the position of senior sales manager.
Having originally joined Stewart Milne Homes as a sales consultant in 2011, Tony progressed to part exchange manager in March 2012 and then on to senior sales manager in January 2017. Mr Williamson has built his career with the housebuilder and replaces Marlyn Boal, who will be retiring after 25 years with the business. The two have worked closely together for the past three years, developing Mr Williamson for the role, whilst ensuring a smooth and thorough transition throughout this month.
Mr Williamson said: “Having worked alongside Marlyn and other senior members of the team for a number of years, I’ve been fortunate enough to learn from some of the most experienced professionals in our industry. I’m now looking forward to bringing my own passion and ideas to the role. My task is made considerably easier by the fact that our homes are renowned for quality and craftsmanship. The group’s approach to setting these within highly distinctive and attractive communities, means there is strong interest in every site we bring forward.”
Mrs Yan Hip, who joined the business in 2011, held the role of sales consultant before becoming a part-exchange manager. She will now be responsible for the management of our Stewart Milne Homes’ sites in Edinburgh and east-central belt.
Commenting on these appointments, managing director of Stewart Milne Homes Central Scotland, Jonathan Fair, said: “It’s particularly rewarding to be able to promote from within and these, well-deserved promotions underline Stewart Milne Homes’ commitment to developing our people and nurturing them on a clear career pathway. Despite losing someone with Marlyn’s extensive experience, we have a robust, energetic and enthusiastic team who will bring fresh ideas that enable us to anticipate and respond to market demands.”
