The firm has so far completed 171 private homes at the development. A further 111 affordable homes have been constructed at the site on the northern edge of the town.

In response to high demand for the development, which is sold out and with a waiting list, a planning application has been lodged to increase the number of units on the next phase from 39 to 48. 

Stewart Milne said construction will begin as soon as permission is obtained.

Earlier this week, planning permission was refused for a 150-home development in the Ballumbie area of Dundee.

The company is targeting a £550 million boost to revenue after unveiling a new-build range aimed at meeting the changing needs of buyers as a result of COVID-19.
