Student accommodation earmarked for Union Street in Aberdeen

A student accommodation provider is seeking planning permission to convert a former office block on Aberdeen’s Union Street.
Braemar House, on the corner of the Granite Mile and Bon-Accord Street, has in recent years been home to Munro’s Travel.
Edinburgh-based Optimal Student hopes to create 54 student flats on the first, second and third floors.
There would also be a small cinema room for movie nights, a student social space and a meeting pod. Another social space would come with a pool table.
