Sunday Times Best Place to Work listing for Clark Contracts
Following a survey of employees, Clark Contracts has been ranked number 72 on the Sunday Times best 100 companies to work for list.
The list, which ranks the best 100 companies in the UK, is voted for by staff, who anonymously score their employers based on a number of factors from work life balance to salary.
Clark Contracts is the only Scottish contractor and one of only three construction companies featured on the list.
Gordon Cunningham, managing director of Clark Contracts, said: “This is a huge achievement for us following on from our Training Excellence Award at the 2017 Construction News Awards. It is excellent to gain this external recognition which we believe is as a result of the efforts made by our Customers 1st Steering Group, Healthy Working Lives and Academy teams to drive the focus on our people. We will use the detailed analysis of the survey to form our strategy to continue to improve this key element of our business.”
Best Companies has been producing and publishing the ‘Best Companies to Work For’ lists since 2001 to measure and acknowledge excellence in workplace engagement. Each year hundreds of organisations from a wide range of industries use its employee survey to measure their employee engagement.
The responses from these surveys are collated and combined to produce an overall engagement score for each organisation. Only the organisations with the highest level of overall employee engagement qualify for the 100 Best Companies to Work For list.
