The move comes as the firm continues strong growth in the UK and Ireland.

Gus Pearson, who established Fortis eleven years ago, said: “We could not be happier that Susan has taken up the position. Susan’s drive and professionalism allow the firm to provide a broader service range to our valued clients as the business moves into new markets.”

Susan added: “I have really enjoyed working closely with Fortis for a few years now. I am delighted and excited by the direction the firm is going and very much look forward to being a part of that journey.”

The firm has plans for further expansion within the next twelve months.

The move sees Fortis acquire the interests of Hanley Ferrol and Susan will continue her activities within the APC academy as an RICS mentor and assessor, assisting aspiring surveyors to achieve chartered status.
